Question
If my king is open for my opponent, may be by an accident moved.  Can my opponent get my King?

Answer
Tam,

If the King cannot castle, the game goes on.
The only way to "get" the King is to checkmate him.
A player cannot take it off the board and say he/she won.
To win in chess your opponent either resigns (give up) or is checkmated.

I suggest you buy the latest book of chess rules published by the United States Chess Federation. It comes in handy.

I hope this helps.
