Question
This car has a 3.8 Chevrolet engine.  The car has difficulty starting cold.  Dies every time you put it in gear.  Runs rough until warm.  So far I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, all gaskets in carburator, throttle position censor, and power valve.  Starts better when electric power valve is disconnected, but then runs rough when warm.  Has me stumped.

Answer
Hi Allen, it sounds like a lean fuel problem. Maybe the low speed\idle port is plugged in the carb. Check the float level in the carb, it mat be to low. Remove the carb and have it cleaned and reset by a carb shop. I think it will be ok then. If you need more info let me know. Regards Keith.
