Question
hi,
i have a 1991 chev cavalier, 129,000+ miles on it, 5 speed. The clutch is slipping in all gears now and i have the replacement parts for it and an auto repair manual for my year of car, however, it tells me to adjust the clutch pedal after replacing the clutch, throw out bearing..etc... the manual doesn't tell me how to adjust the pedal though. can you give me the scoop on it?

Answer
Hi Juanita, on a 91 cavalier there is no adjustment on the clutch, because it is released by fluid. Unless you have a gm manuel for that specific year thats the only way to get specific info, aftermarket manuels are only to be used as general guidelines. The cavaliers before 1988 had cable release for the clutch and required adjustment, Thats why it is in the manuel. I hope this helps you, if you need more info just let me know. Regards, Keith.
