My hood release on the inside of the car is missing, and there is no cable to pull like, with a pair of pliers or anything. I need under the hood to put water in asap, it is overheating. Please help!!!!

   I do not understand why you do not have a hood latch or why it would be missing, was it in a accident ? well if I were you I would look for some part of the latch that is on there now and try to grab a bit of it so you can get it open
and once it is open it should be fixed prior to closing it as it is dangerous if it can not be opened up at any time, what if you had a fire, or low oil or water etc.there has to be something under there that can be grabed so it can be opened. You should get a new one to put on so you will not have this happen again.I think you can order one from (jc whitney.com )or at a chevy dealer but the dealer will charge a lot more.so there has to be something under there to grab to open it,use a pair of needle nose pliers.
