Does it make a clicking sound at all when you try to start it or nothing?

If no sound at all, its the starter motor. If it makes a rapid clicking sound, the battery is dying. If it clicks once, there are dead spots on the starter.

Sorry for the late response. I was out of town.

Answer
Yes this means that the security resistor reader in your ignition column is done. There is a small black resistor chip in your key and there is a resistor reader in the ignition column. Either the reader is very dirty or its done. Can be cleaned with compressed air but usually they need to be replaced. Not a do-it yourself task.

It sometimes will start after a few tries. You have to wait for the light to go out and try again. But normally it needs to be replaced.
