Question
We tried to replace the thermostat but didn't work .  What else can we do?  Thie problem is with a chevrolet cavalier 2000 with a 4 cylinder motor

Answer
Hi Sylvia, there is not enough info here to acuratly diagnose the problem. Is your electric fan comming on? Is the coolant ciculating? When does it happen? How long does it take to overheat after starting it up? Does the coolant level go down? I will be happy to help you, just let me know. Regards, Keith.
