Chevrolet/2001 Chevy Cavalier stereo repair

Question
Hopefully you can answer this... I have a 2001 Chevy Cavalier 2-door.  The two front speakers (one in each door) cut in and out, making it seem like a connection problem.  How do I remove the door panels to get at the stereo to make sure everything is connected?  Or do you think it may be something else?

Answer
Hi Jordan, it is unlikly that the problem is in the doors, because the two of them would not act up at the same time. As for removing the door panels, im guessing that you remove the window handle, A few screws, the inside door handle bezels and just pull it off(I have not worked at gm since 96 so im not certain). I am thinking that the problem is in or close to the stereo, gm had a problem with stereos with the same symtoms as yours, but again im referring to the mid 90s. At the dealer we just replaced the stereos and it was fine. I hope this helps you, if you need more info just let me know. Regards, Keith.
