Chevrolet/2004 chevy blazer voltmeter

Question
The needle on the volt indicator on the dash of my 2004 Blazer( 12,000 miles) is to the left of center. If it were a fuel gauge the needle would be just over the 1/4 tank mark but not in the red zone. Everything functions properly & I have driven it over 900 miles with the indicaor functioning that way. Is this normal ?
Thanks.

Answer
Hi Lawrence, have someone check it with a multimeter on the battery terminals, this will determine if its the voltmeter or the alternator. It should be between 13.5 - 15 volts dc. I hope this helps you if you need more info just let me know. Regards, Keith.
