Question
power steering noise coming from ps pump area, replaced pump twice ( reman )noise still coming from ps pump area.

Answer
Hi Wayne,

Your Venture, like most mini-vans, comes standard with front-wheel-drive; however, you selected the all-wheel-drive version. The front end does not differ very much; rather, there is a transfer case located near the differential that transmits power to the rear wheels via a driveshaft. The front wheels have to be able to steer and turn, but also have to be turned by the engine and transmission. There is a shaft-like device to perform this task; it's called the CV-joint, or Canstant Velocity Joint. There are two of them, one on either side of the front differential, and they are connected to either front wheel. When they become worn, they will make a rubbing or grinding noise, and need to be replaced. The longer you drive with worn CV-Joints, the more the noise is present, and the louder it gets. I think you need to replace your front CV-Joints.

Hope this helps you!

Good luck!
