Question
My wife's Chevy Celebrity occasionally dies when she starts it and puts it into gear, like the ignition or fuel is turned off.
Engine is a 2.5 four cylinder.
Engine starts and idles fine.
Fuel pump and filter was replaced approximately one year and about 5000 miles or less ago.
Plugs, coils, wires, crank sensor are six years old.

Answer
Hi Tim, it may be the lockup torque. To check it, there is a square plug on the front of the transmission close to where the engine and transmission connects together, unplug it and see if the problem stops. Also your wife's car is long overdue for a tuneup, this may help too. I hope this helps you. Regards, Keith.
