Chevrolet/97 Cavalier rear defogger

Question
My 1997 Cavalier (Z24, manual with A/C) rear defogger just died on me.  Started the car this yesterday morning, defrost worked fine.  Wanted to start the defrost for a second time, the green LED light did not come on and the defrost did not work.  All other heating and defrosting functions work fine. I checked the RR Defog fuse and the HVAC fuse and they are OK. No broken connections on the window grid (glass tinting film protects the grid) What can be the cause? Timer relay? A short?  No history of electrical problems with the car. Thanks in advance.

Answer
  Hi Robert;
            I would remove the fuse and look it over good as it could be blown , if not than see if the relay has been burnt. some times they will just re-set by themselves but re-check the fuse - you could have a short is there any broken wires going to the back, and at times the switch can burn itself out .was the switch hot or did it smell prior to no longer working.

Experience

All i can remember growing up is working on cars and making them loud and fast , and when i started to make money i would sink all of it into my cars so i could get them to go faster and look great. what else is there !I would love a challange to trouble shoot, as it is fun finding what is wrong when all others can not .ON the older cars not past 1975s , etc. so please I will try to help with the newer cars but do not grade me bad if I can not help your 2006 car.etc.
