Question -
My blower does not retain the set speed.  It will vary between high and low no matter the setting.  This is not constant...only intermittant. We checked the resistor, the blower motor and the connector.  All are ok.  The fan works fine.  Is there a vacumn hose that controls the little doors inside to close down and lower the vented air?I can't see any, but I thought it best to ask...Help me please!

Answer
Hi Linda, Yes there is a hose that comes in from the engine compartment and supplies vacuum to the heater\ac controls. It is possible that it is broken, but most times you will find the problem in the controls. To understand the system better and to get a diagram of the hose routing you should buy a manuel on your car, manuels dont cost much and will soon pay for itself with usful information. If you need more info just let me know. Regards, Keith.
