Question
We have a '98 Cavalier with the ETS Off light on and neither the convertible top nor driver's side window will go down. All problems started at almost exact same time. Can you help any?

Answer
Hi Jon, it sounds like a broken circuit or a bad ground. These problems are hard to diagnose without working on the vechile myself. The ETS(enhanced traction control) off light can be turned on by a few things. It works off the ABS system, the ABS detects if there is a wheel spinning and sends that info to the ETC and the ECM reduces torque by cutting fuel of upshifting the transmission or retarding the timing to avoid wheel spin. So if there is a problem with any system the etc off light will come on. so if your planning on looking for the problem yourself, you should buy a manuel this will tell you the location of all the circuits and grounds. Sorry i couldnt be more help. If you need more info let me know. Regards,Keith.
