Chevrolet/Chevy Lumina still creaking

Question
Hi Keith, I'm back. Thank you for your fast response! I took my "creaking" Chevy Lumina to the repair place today and they said they test drove it and looked at it and didn't hear or see anything. On my way home with it I made a couple turns and a U-turn and that creaking is there. Sigh. They were about to close up for the day or I would have gone back but when they say there's nothing there I don't know what to do. Is a bad CV joint something that would be visible or obvious to him? Maybe I should go back and test drive with him. Thanks for your wisdom on this issue. Joanne

Answer
Hi Joanne, unless the cv boot is broken he cant see it, if the cv boot is not broken he will have to detect it by the sound of it. There is no problem to know a bad cv joint by the sound of it because it has it own unique sound. I hope this helps you, if you need more info just let me know. Let me know what you find. Regards, Keith.
