Chevrolet/Coolant leak

Question
I have a  '89 Chevy Beretta GT. Coolant is leaking from a short 90 degree hose on the lower passenger side of the firewall. I don't know if there was something attached to it or if it is a drain hose. I added some coolant and water and it just gushed out of the hose. What's the deal?

Answer
Hi Dustyn, I think the hose your refurring to is the drain pan for the heater core. What it for is in case of a leak in the heater core it catches the coolant and dumps outside so you dont get it in you carpet. there is a cover underneath the center of the dash remove it to see where the leak is coming from, usually the hose splits where it connects to the heater core. I hope this helps you if you need more help just let me know. Regards, Keith.
