1999 Chevy Malibu LS.  When I start my car up the idle jumps up and down on it.  At times when I am at a stop light it jerks or pulls but if I put it neutral it stops.  What could the problem be?I kinda need details I am not to car inclined.

It sounds like you might have a vacuum leak. I cant really tell you what to check because you didn't tell me what motor you have in your Malibu. Since you dont know about cars, the best advice I can give you is to take it to the dealer and have it diagnosed. The electrical and fuel systems on your car are very complicated and I cant give you a crash course in diagnostics. And I'm sure that you wouldnt have the tools needed to diagnose and repair it.
