Question
Is it ok to put water on a lt1 will it is warm.  Car will not start sputters on starting could it be a crack in the heads? or worped heads or blown head gasket? had mechanic look at it showed no signs but  the car sounds upon starting that it could be the problem.  Your imput is greatly appreated. Tyler

Sputtering is usually ignition related.

You put water on the motor? Were you trying to wash the engine?

If so, the plug wires are wet and arcing to the block. The more you drive the car, the better it will get. Will take a week to dry out.

Don't wash your engine. Use a damp cloth or engine cleaner.
