I looked all over,including the internet,but was unable to find a ten over (0.010) piston.
I had a machine shop look at the chip-its about 1/4 by 3/4 inch and right on the top ring groove-and they recommended not fixing it.
I guess I will have to use it,but I did put new rings on it.Since the car is not a performance or show car (64 Pontiac Parisenne),do you think it will be OK? Is there something else I could do to make it safer such as having less compression on that cylinder? Thanks.

      OK well I geuss you are in a spot, if I were you I think I would go a head and try it as what can you do ? but I would not put any more cash into the motor as I would put in NEW rings and try to get it going than if it runs ok I would really baby it for at least 1500 miles on that engine and if you have no trouble than just be carefull with it. but if you do happen to have trouble I would get a re-built engine or re-build one and go from there .and as far as that cyld. you might be able to use a smaller plug or a oil plug spacer to give it a bit  more room / psi space .and if there is any way to adj the ex valve a bit more so it will have less room to build up gas.ok
