Chevrolet/Water in fuel tank

Question
We have a 1984 Corvette that a vindictive ex-husband put water in the fuel tank. Since then someone has drained the tank and I don't know what they did, but I pulled the fuel filter and there is still water in it. Do you know the best way to get the water out? The fuel tank is now full of gas.
thanks

Answer
Hi Travis, if there is a lot of water in the tank you will have to remove the tank and clean it out. But if there is only a little in there you could try "methl hydrate" this can dry up a little water, you just put in in the tank with the fuel. Its worth a try before you remove the tank. You can buy it at automotive stores and some hardware stores. I hope this helps you, Regards, Keith.
