Chevrolet/Windshield Wipers

Question
I own a 2000 Chevy Venture van and I am having an intermittent problem with the windshield wipers. Occasionally when I turn the wipers off, they return to the stow position but then they immediately pop back up. Then they try to return to stow but again pop back up. This cycle repeats itself over and over again. To get it to stop, I turn the wipers on and off until they finally stow properly. It may take several tries. Any ideas about what the problem is and how I can fix it?

Answer
I'AM NOT UP ON WIPERS BUT IT SOUNDS AS IF THE SWITCH MIGHT BE BAD OR A RELAY ,AS IT SHOULD BE TESTED WITH THE PROPER EQU. AS WITH ALL THE NEW CARS  EVEN MY OWN WITH OUT A COMPUTOR TO PLUG INTO THE CAR YOU ARE IN TROUBLE AND HOPE THAT YOU DO NOT GET RIPED OFF AS TO OWN ONE FOR MY OWN USE WOULD COST THOUSANDS I WOULD RATHER BUY TWO NEW CARS FOR THE COST OF A GOOD COMPUTER SET UP, IT SOUNDS AS IT MIGHT BE YOUR SWITCH OR A RELAY IF I HAD IT I COULD LOOK AT IT
SO I TAKE A GUESS AND SAY THE SWITCH OR RELAY OK  I WISH I COULD HAVE HELPED YOU MORE

PS UP TO 1975 !! !!!!!!!!!!! I will try with any others after that date. state up to 1975 but I still get 2006-007 etc. I guess you do not read this far ! !

Experience

All i can remember growing up is working on cars and making them loud and fast , and when i started to make money i would sink all of it into my cars so i could get them to go faster and look great. what else is there !I would love a challange to trouble shoot, as it is fun finding what is wrong when all others can not .ON the older cars not past 1975s , etc. so please I will try to help with the newer cars but do not grade me bad if I can not help your 2006 car.etc.
