Chevrolet/buying my first car

hello, i am currently looking to buy my first car. I have my eye on two different cars between the years 2000-2003 and I wanted to give your opinion on which is the most reliable. I love the chevrolet impala, and also love the pontiac grand am gt. Please respond with your opinion. Thanks again.
The Impala with the 3.8L V6 will get better fuel economy and has better reliability than the Grand Am.
The 3.8L V6 is the most reliable motor GM currently has. The parts for it are fairly cheap as well.
Anything with the 3.8L V6 in GM's fleet is worth looking at. Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Pontiac Grand Prix, Buick Regal, etc etc.
