Question
i have a 1992 cavalier and i think the starter went out or is going out sometimes when i turn it over it will make a clicking noise and after a few times trying it will start now it wont start at all it just makes a clicking noise could you tell me if it is the starter or something else

Answer
Hi Eleanor, the clicking noise is comming from the soleniod switch, when you buy a replacement starter the solenoid switch comes with it as an assembly. However you can replace just the soleniod (its the small cylinder shaped object on top of the starter that the wires are connected to). I hope this helps you, If you need more info just let me know. Regards, Keith.
