Question
i have a 1994-5 chevrolet dayvan awd 4.3  w engine ticks over rough and stalls also when driving dies then picks up and stalls when on junctions and roundabouts then starts ok on key if revs are kept up changed fuel filter plugs checked fuel tank/pump/filter on pump ok all engine sensors seem ok on eletical meter no faults logged in computer WHY?????? mark

Answer
Mark,
Try checking the throttle position sensor, it might be going bad, but not throw a code. I've run into a few that were shot and didn't throw codes. If you are having to keep the throttle pushed down to rev the engine could be the throttle position sensor. They are relatively inexpensive and are fairly easy to replace. Let me know if it helps, and I'll do a little more digging on it.

I can answer most questions on Chevrolet vehicles up to 1996, or before the ODBII.

Experience

I have been working on cars since I was eight, when I started handing my dad wrenches. I did my first complete rebuild at 14, and my first restoration at 16. When it comes to Chevy, if I don't know the answer off the top of my head, I can find it out fairly quickly. (My entire family is a bunch of gear heads.)
