Where/how can a person find out if a vehicle with a US name on it was actually manufactured outside of the country?

Answer
The VIN or serial number will tell you. I assume your wondering about a chevy. Well all GM Vin numbers are the same. The first number is the one to look for. A #1 means that it was made in the USA. #2 Canada. #3 Japan. There are other numbers but these are the most common and the only ones that I remember.
