Chevrolet/noise in front end drivers side

Question
I replaced trans, blown brake line, alternator, battery, head gasket, radiator and now have a noise on drivers side that has gotten louder with time. One suggestion was front wheel drive. 6 mos ago mechanic told me there was a hub problem that would become louder over time and could be fixed for $260.00. This is a 96 cavalier I bought in 98, 69,000 miles for $15,0000. I am well over $20,000 now. My credit union said I was taken. What is the banging noise, that eases up on driving on ramps or curves?

Answer
Hi Su;
      well as far as the noise it could be a lot of things as it is the type of trouble that I would have to be in the car to hear it and feel it , but if you were told it could be a hub problem / and it could also just be a rim or even a tire that has gone bad  with a bubble , i would have the front wheels checked (on)
the car a front end wheel balance - as that should tell you what it is and at a lot less than 260.00 .

PS UP TO 1975 !! !!!!!!!!!!! I will try with any others after that date. state up to 1975 but I still get 2006-007 etc. I guess you do not read this far ! !

Experience

All i can remember growing up is working on cars and making them loud and fast , and when i started to make money i would sink all of it into my cars so i could get them to go faster and look great. what else is there !I would love a challange to trouble shoot, as it is fun finding what is wrong when all others can not .ON the older cars not past 1975s , etc. so please I will try to help with the newer cars but do not grade me bad if I can not help your 2006 car.etc.
