my wifes girlfriend got a 97 malibu from a used car lot and alot of times when she goes to start it it wont start and the theft systems lite goes on.she has to let it sit for a while n keep tryn it b4 it works.shes a single mom and its affecting her gettn 2 work on time and it could cost her , her job. there is no kill switch   CAN YOU HELP HER?

Hi Fcorrado, if it only happenes sometimes there must be a bad sensor, Or it needs to be reprogrammed. She has to take it to the dealer, it wont take long for them to diagnose the problem, or reprogram it. I hope this helps you, if you need more info just let me know. Regards, Keith.
