Question
I recently purchased a 1989 Chevy Astro van with 1,21000 miles and the 4.3 V6 when I got it the brake indicator light was on solid I figured it was just a suck switch what now for some reason it is flashing in sequencesolid 1.2.3. solid and I can't seem to find anything on this. any help would be appreciated

Answer
Hi Edward, This is a code 4 and it means you need a new dump valve. You can just leave it and have no ABS brakes. I think you can disconnect the module and then you might not have a brake light on the dash. The module should be just to the left of the battery, if I remember right. If not look for a black box that is 6 inch by 4 and 1 inch thick. Plug the plugs out and see what happens.

Hope this helps you
