the ignition is stuck off and it wont turn i have hammered away at the ignition and peeled it back it about 1/2 inch into the column it still wont turn how could i hot wire it or bypass using the screwdriver to start it like pushing in a rod or hot wiring it

Hi Howard... try turning the steering wheel to remove the pressure on the steering lock pin. if that doesn't work remove the wheel and and lock plate remove the little bolt that holds the ign lock cyl in and remove the lock cyl.reinstall is the reverse... hope this helps
