Chevrolet Repair/1997 Chevy Blazer Electrical Issue

Question
Hi There - I have a 97 blazer 4x4 6Liter.  Recently my all my lights in the car started pulsing.  Then last week the car threw 10 error codes and went into limp home mode.  My mechanic seems to think that the solenoids in my transmission are bad.  My gut feeling is that I have a voltage dip problem.  When the codes are cleared the car runs fine for a day or to and then trips only the solenoid codes.  He's checked the battery and the alternator and those are both fine.  Since I've had this light pulsing issue could there be a voltage issue that would cause the solenoids in the transmission to act up and then correct themselves?  Should I replace the transmission or push my mechanic to look more closely at the electrical system?  If it is the transmission I will not be fixing the car. :(

Answer
Hi Milissa. tell him to find the intermittant open in the circut. could be in the plugin to the solenoids. use of a lab scope will help track down the problem. Try running the truck while moving the harness and see if it trips a code... hope this helps
