Question
i replaced lower intake gaskets and put everything back together. had very slight miss. got a snap on scanner to set cam retard  +/- 2. have to turn dist clockwise as hard as i can to get correct reading. removed dist to try and get a little more room. didnt work. got truck back running and misses very noticeable. was running pretty good before movin dist. need help

Answer
Hi Jamie. you are probably out a tooth on the dist when you reinstalled it. remove it again and turn rotor so when you install it it goes back a tooth... remember rotor will trun as you reinstall, make sure rotor doesn't end up pointing back to the same place it was pointinf when you removed.better yet set up engine at TDC and reinstall dist so it points at number 1 plug wire on cap... hope this helps
