THROTLEBODY WHEN YOU FIRST TRY TO START IT YOU HAVE TO PAT THE GAS ABOUT 20 TIMES TILL YOU FLOOD IT THEN HOLD IT DOWN TO MAKE IT START AFTER IT STARTS IT IDLES PERFECT AND WILL START EVERY TIME YOU TURN THE KEY AFTER THE FIRST TIME. IF YOU SPRAY STARTING FLUID IN IT IT WILL START SOON AS YOU HIT THE KEY AND WILL SET AND IDLE FINE ACTS LIKE AN OLDER CHEVROLET WITH THE CHOKE UNHOOKED HAS
Answer Hi Howard... do you hear fuel pump come on when you turn key on... if you don't check the relay... reason for hard start could be that... if relay doesn't turn pump on then it will turn on when engine has cranked up enough oil pressure to turn on pump...hope this helps
