Question
We bought it used this summer.  Now that it's cold and we try to use the heater, it doesn't work.  The AC is fine. All fuses seem to be fine (we found all 3). Coincidentally our friend bought a used 2005 Malibu this summer also and said their heater isn't working either. We are fairly certain the heater was working for the previous owner as we know "of" them.  Is this a typical problem with them?

Answer
Hi Jacqie.... I haven't heard of any problems....what isn't working...is it that you just have no heat...i take it the blower fan is working as you said you had A/C ...have someone check the heater controls...make sure they are opening the doors...check the actuators to see if they are getting power when you switch from one fuction to another...check to see if something hasn't fallen down the defrost from the top and is jamming cold air door open.... hope this helps
