Question
Hi, Rob, i a have a 2001 chevy cavalier 2.2 engine, i notice the temp went up to red mark so a pull over and let cool down and drove home, so i end up replacing the water pump and thermostat,  and  i flush the radiator and put new anti freeze but the car still overheat, so any idea???? please help me!!! this is my first Chevy and i believe will be the last!!!! Thank you

Answer
Hi Robert... did you bleed the air from the rad after you overheated it...also check to see if you have a head gasket problem...if you overheated it enough you may have warped the head...a pressure tester on the cooling system will tell you if you are leaking compression into the cooling system...hope this helps
