Hi i hv a 92 chevy astro ext van, it starts up then cuts out jus like that.sometimes it would drive good then breaks down on the road. i tried starter fluid and the mechanics checked everything n couldnt find the problem pls help. then one day the windows was not goin up .pls help

Hi Sara.... when it cuts out you need to check to see if it is a fuel or ign problem... check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail right after it quits...do not try to start....if you have pressure at the rail you then need to check for spark....if you have none check ign module... they can get hot and quit... check for loose or corroded connections at the dist. and coil...check the cap and rotor as they are a known problem on those trucks....windows are an unrelated problem....check for broken wires where they pass thru the door or check window motor....as well as fuses....hope this helps
