Chevrolet Repair/Power seat not working

Question
I have a 2000 GMC Sierra the power seat stopped working, I checked the fuse it was fine but the metal circuit breaker was really hot so I pulled it out. Any idea what the prob might be?

Answer
Hi Neil... check to see if you have anything blocking the track, that may be jamming the seat...if ok...check the drive motor...unplug it and test the plug for power when you move switch...if no power check the seat relay in the fuse panel. if relay ok and you have power at the plug. motor is bad...test the motor by putting direct power and ground to the motor...if bypassing the system and motor still doesn't work change it.... hope this helps
