Question
Ok I just picked up a 96 Chevy 2500 2wd and I I found out that someone swapped out the O.E. motor for a "old school" 350 w/ a carb. ok it runs fine but the tach isnt hooked up My first question is where WAS the wire for the stock tach? and will effect the trans? (it feels like it doesnt go into overdrive) oh and wher is the engine temp wire too  :) thank you guys are GREAT !

Answer
Hi Ed... you will need to find the origanal oem plug for the ign module...the tach wire is in that plug...the temp wire will be in the harness that runs across the top of the engine....i cannot send pics over this link but if you call your local dealer i find that they are usually pretty god at giving out wiring diagrams....hope this helps
