Chevrolet Repair/93 Suburban seat belt retractor & Torx bit

Question
Hi Bob,
My 93 front passenger seat belt has fully extended and will not retract.  Does anyone know a way to fix that?
What is the Torx bit size for the shoulder & floor seat belt bolts?  It''s big, definitely well over T40.  I'm hoping to avoid a seat belt replacement but would appreciate any tips on this.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Kent... the torx should be a T55 if i remember correctly...before you remove pull the panel off where the seat belt retractor is and look to see if something is caught in there.. also there is a little counter weight in there that locks the belt if it is moved quickly...see if it has jammed locking the belt. thats usually what happens.... hope this helps...Merry Christmas
