Question
I need to know why my new alternator belt is not on correctly. I have it over three pulleys and there's still slack. I've maxed the the tension pulley as well. I was wondering if maybe there's more than three or...? I got the belt that has no A/C on it because as you may know that's run by a different belt on this make/model/year. Or if I can just get a site that has a routing diagram I'm sure I could figure it out. There is however a bracket that looks as though it is supposed to be holding something beneath the left-most pulley, am I missing a part there? Sorry if I confused you, ask me whatever else you need to know. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Doug... we have no way of sending pictures over this link, however...if you go to a GM dealer they would be more than happy to give you a copy of the belt routing for that truck. that would tell you if your missing any pullys...take your vin number with you...hope this helps
