Chevrolet Repair/1996 Chevy Full Size Van AC Fan Issues

Question
When I switch to max ac the fan does not blow at high speed. Changing the control from max to normal seems to have no affect on the fan speed. It operates at all settings, it just does not seem to have the added power it normally had on Max AC. I can hear the vents change when I move the controls from Max to the various other settings.
This started after I worked on the radio, which is in close proximity of the ac controls. I examined the ac controls and none of the tubes or wires seemed to be loose. The white and black tubing going into the control was tight so I think I have plenty of Vacuum. Moving the control with the engine off still made the vents operate.

Answer
Hi Jerry... check the plug at the fan and see if you have a change of voltage as you move the control thur it's settings. if voltage stays the same or only small increase change the fan control...if fan seems to be fine then i would look at circut board for heater controls...hope this helps
