why does my alert bell start to ring when i remove my key from the ignition like i have left the lights on or left the key in the switch and once i close the door the security message light blinks and the battery light will stay on all day and night or until i start the truck up. I just noticed that only the park, reverse,drive 1 2 letters are lit as well.   the battery in the message center, the P RD12 lights and the alert bell.

Hi Terry. check the alt and see if regulator is staying live after you shut key off.if it's ok check the chime and see if it is shorting out. just unplug it and see if all lights go out. if it's ok you will need to check and find wire that is shorting to live somewhere in those circuts. check for corrosion in the fuse panel, sometimes a build up around the fuse ends will bridge two fuses...hope this helps
