How do replace a starter in a '97 Monte Carlo?

Hi Matt... you don't say which engine.... you will have to remove the trans cover, maybe exhaust (not on all engines) remove wiring, remove bolts from starter and it should come out the bottom with some wiggling around... some engines you may have to undo motor mount on the starter side and lift engine a little... hope this helps
