Question
My 2000 Cavalier has been overheated like crazy. I constantly put water in it and before I reach my destination it, the water like comes on. And after I hit 45-50 mph the car shakes real bad. And today my car hit the max on the thermostat and the car starting steaming and produced a burning smell. What is up with my car?h

Answer
Hi Meagan... you could have one of several problems...have someone check your thermostat and cooling fan...also because you have overheated the car have someone check for head gasket/warped head problem. excessive heat can severly damage the engine. I wouldn't drive the car anymore till you have it looked at by a qualified person...if you haven't damaged that engine yet, if you continue to drive it while overheating you will....hope this helps....
