Question
I Have a 2000 Chevy venture LT 3.4L V6 and today when we left the house the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and the vehicle slowly rolled to a stop (Rolling through the stop sign). The vechicle will stop but very slowly, I did notice that the brake fluild was low but not out. I have added brake fluid to proper level but this has not changed the firmness of the pedal nor the stop speed. The brakes were working correctly the day before with no noticable problems! also there are no warning lights for the brakes on! Any help would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Brian... couple things to check.... master cyl leaking... look at the back of it where it attaches to the vacum booster....is there brake fluid running down the face of the booster. if not pull the vac line and see if it has fluid in it...if all that ok...check the sliders on the front calipers...if siezed up... free them and clean..also check for bad front wheel brgs...play will push calipers in and cause low pedal...check abs as well... if you are not sure take van to qualifed person to check...do not take a chance on your safety... hope this helps
