Question
I have a 98 chevrolet Z-71 K1500 with a 5.7 350 vortec and my air conditioner works but the recirculation wont work or at least it wont blow as hard as it should. i was wonderin what i would have to do to fix this and make it blow harder. Do u have to by a new a/c /heater control box or is there a way to rig it up to work?

Answer
Hi Brett... check the actuator on the side of the heater box...see if when you move the control from outside air to recirculate it moves all the way...the air flow from outside is always more as it is drawing fresh air, check to see if something is binding that actuator...IE: something fallen down thru the defrost into the box limiting the movement of the control doors in the box.... you wouldn't believe what i find in there when i take them apart...hope this helps
