I have 95 z-71 4x4 auto tranny manual shift 4 wheel drive that will not engage into four wheel high or low its just the front tires that don't engage any ideals wwhat coutd be the problem thanks for your time

Hi David... I take it that truck has auto locking front drive...check the vacum that goes to the cable pot from the front axel...when you shift from 2wd to 4wd their should be vacum at that pot...if not check the vacum solonids in that vacum line and see if thay are allowing vacum thru, check for leaks,collasped or broken vacum lines.if you have vacum to the solonids but won't allow thru when you engauge 4wd check that you have power at solonid..if you do then solonid is bad if not trace the circut and see where the open is...hope this helps
