Question
I have an 88 chevy s10 pickuup 4X4. 2.8 L V6 Automatic.  I have had some problems with this truck. I have replaced the ECM, O2 sensor and adjusted the timing. But when I hook back up the cable from the ECm that controls the timing it then throws the timing out of wack again and runs really rough, any thoughts

Answer
Hi Chris... the computer controls timing...is the timing with computer wire to dist unpluged set at 0 (base time) if not. unplug wire then set time at 0 and plug back in...if timing wanders too much you may need to change chain and gears. hope this helps
