Question
I have recently bought a 1993 chevy 2500 2 wheel drive I bought this truck knowing It had a transmission problem it is not shifting into 3rd gear it just stays in 2nd and winds it has a 4l60e that was recently rebuilt the speedometer is not working also I was wondering if it could possibly be a speed sensor or a minor fix can you point me in the right direction

Answer
Hi Anthony.... there could be a problem if the TV cable is not adjusted properly... first check fluid level, follow cable that comes out of trans up to the throttle body. right near where it connects to the throttle body there will be a bracket that holds the cable in place. right there you will see rounded bulb with a button in it...push the button in and then open the throttle all the way... the cable should move in the bracket adjusting it. once done drive the truck and see if there is any improvemnt in the shift... if not check trans filter.... if all that is ok you may have an internal problem....hope this helps
