Chevrolet Repair/Caprice AC Under Hood vacuum hoses

Question
I have a 1978 Caprice that runs great but the air flow only comes out at the floor. Under the hood I noticed a vacuum hose (skinny hard plastic) had pulled out of the blower area which is under the hood hinge on the passenger side. I can pull back the loose vac hose, but the space is so confined below the hood hinge I can't see where this hose is supposed to go. There appear to be two hoses that enter the AC/Blower area and one is connected OK. If I knew where the loose vac hose went I might be able to connect it by feel. I couldn't find a picture to show where these two plastic vac hoses go, and am not sure if the inner fender splash guard could be removed to gain access. If I could fix this hose I think I could get the AC working on this Classic.

Answer
Hi Rob.... There should be a vacum pot that it goes to if i am thinking of the proper vacum line.... the best place to get a diagram is from a dealer...they will have a vacum routing map and i am sure they will copy it for you...i dont have a manual that old with pictures....you should be able to remove the inner fender splash cover to axcess it.... hope this helps
