Question
Hi Robert,
I just replaced the battery in my 96 Chevy cavalier, 67k mi 2.2L 4c & now my Parking brake light will not go off, tried pulling the lever & pushing it back down numerous times just to see if something was stuck with the switch and that didn't help at all, just wondering if you've got any input/ideas, thanks in advance for any help.

Answer
Hi Steve...try unhooking the battery again turn on the lights and wait 10 sec... shut off the lights and reinstall the battery cable... if light is still on check the circut at the parking brake switch...make sure that it is the parking brake light thats on as well and not the abs light...i know on some models the abs light and parking brake light both come on if abs problem and i have seen where the abs light is burnt out and just parking brake light on...hope this helps
