Question my van will start and then seem to be choking for gas its the same systems that I once had when a catalytic converter clogged up, but its not the problem that has been ruled out, the fuel pump is pumping properly, the distributor has been replaced and I am at a loss now. What would you advise? I have not ruled out the junk yard.
Answer Hi Nantom670... could be a couple of differant problems....first check fuel pressure if not within 5 psi change pump... check fuel pressure regulator, check fuel filter. if it is TBI then check for nice cone spray from inj while running.try a good inj cleaner... if all that checks out check timing chain and gears, check for run out in dist, check coil, check ign module, check engine vacum if low check for a leak around the intake... hope this helps
